Abstract

Efforts to objectify quality and to transfer the internal understanding of architecture to the quality system of the construction sector have proven problematical. This article is a study of the meaningful nature of the concept of quality, and its meaning in different contexts, on the basis of four Finnish studies, three of which were led by the author.
