Priset motiverades:
»Elisabeth Tostrup's prize-winning essay: "Between experience and image consumption" investigates the role of personal experience connected with different mental and environmental - or inner and outer - images in the design process, especially in the context of studio teaching. Her writing is intensive and poetical, and at the same time it shows a critical approach not only to architecture but also to the teaching methods. - The Jury was unanimous in awarding the first prize to Elisabeth Tostrup, who works as an Associate Professor at the Oslo School of Architecture.«
