Hva skal vi med arkitekturforskningen? Samtale med tre praktiserende arkitekter i Trondheim om arkitekturforskning og praksis

Abstract

How can architectural research contribute to the development ofarchitectural practice? And vice versa: how can architectural research be strengthened by achievements in architectural practice? Is basic research in architecture considered important at all in the architecture studios? These issues are not new, but they are increasingly relevant. The Nordic Journal of Architectural Research invited three distinguished architects from leading studios in Trondheim to a conversation about the relationship between research and practice, and in what manner the architects are working to build new expertise in their respective studios. The article includes a discussion of the editorial profile and content of the Nordic Journal of Architectural Research based on the three Norwegian architects reviews of the volumes of the 2008 edition.
