Experiencing Israel Pads

Abstract

Experience, sometimes specified as fun or
atmosphere, has become a keyword in the
efforts to describe the development of modern
urban culture, One of the causes behind this
development is the growing emphasis on the
interests of the individual. The consideration for
the individual and its experiences presents a
major challenge for modern urban planning. In
this article a recent project for Israels Plads,
one of the major urban squares of Copenhagen,
will serve as an example of how this challenge
has been answered.
